WORK AS AN ARCHITECTURESTUDENT, WORK IN AN INTERDISCIPLINARY FIELD
AA VISITING SCHOOL STUTTGART
The AA Visiting School Stuttgart is an interdisciplinary initiative that brings architects, artists, designers and researchers together to speculate about our lives in the future and explore our social, cultural, spatial and technological present . The AA Visiting School Stuttgart is headed by Prof.Müller and Prof. Mohammadi.
In the workshop week “Foresight” from 6-14. September 2019 we, a group of international participants, worked with Sue Barr (Professor of Photography, AA) and Rosa Ainsley (Architectural Author) to gain insights into our (near) future through the medium of image and text. The technical input included observation and research methods, digital photography, image production and manipulation as well as creative and structured writing.
At a time when the lines between fact and fiction are constantly blurring, photography and writing can play an important role as separate and connected forms. In “Foresight” we investigated the potential of photography and text to predict or represent the (near) future within architecture.
